Mother's Day 2011

This Mother's Day was especially beautiful because I now get to celebrate it with my newest love, Andres. These days, I've been able to spend so much time with him since I'm working from home - that I think I've developed more of an apprehension to return to work with him than I did with Adrian. It's probably because I didn't see how much fun they are during the day after their 3rd month.

Another wonderful Mother's Day present that I received was a meeting with Adrian's Montessori instructor. We learned that he is quite fluent in Spanish during school since he is in a Spanish immersion program. Whenever the teacher is around him trying to convey a concept to another classmate, and she gets stuck on coming up with a word to describe a letter sound, Adrian is always providing a word in either language - all while working on another "work". She finds him quite intelligent and polite little boy who shows an interest in the "big kids" work. She's constantly amazed at how quickly he grasps the letter sounds from both alphabets and the level of concentration in his assignments.

The pictures on this post show:
*The jar with the flowers was decorated by Adrian for Mother's Day - he is particularly proud of it.
*Adrian showing he does not want to be photographed with the balloon/Andres/me
*The flowers and balloon I received on Sunday - along with dinner from my fave Italian restaurant
*Andres nuzzling with his mama

I'm so blessed!
